Advanced particles characterization: measuring real particle thickness

Occhio now offers a completely automated measurement system capable of measuring thousands of particles in 3D ! Beginning at 500µm and ranging up to several millimeters, the Morpho 3D performs a precise, real-time analysis for each particle and records the size and shape characteristics as well as a 3D image of the particle.

Using a stereoscopic camera and lens, the Morpho 3D can also measure the color of each particle. The working principle combines reflection lighting with the specialized optical system to capture image reflection.

Main applications are: seeds, generic pellet (e.g.  plastic, wood, chemical, pharmaceutical compounds), granular samples, sands, macro and micro fibers.
